Greenway Academy Sunday School is dedicated to nurturing the spiritual and educational growth of children aged 5 and up. We offer a comprehensive curriculum that includes Arabic and Quran studies, alongside core Islamic teachings. Our unique levels system—ranging from Level 1 to Level 5—ensures that each child is assessed and placed according to their individual progress and learning needs.
We are committed to empowering the Muslim youth by fostering a deep understanding of Islam and encouraging them to actively seek knowledge. Our goal is to help them grow into knowledgeable, thoughtful, and practicing Muslims. Through engaging lessons and supportive guidance, we strive to instill the values of continuous learning and personal development, preparing our students to lead fulfilling and faithful lives.
Our academic year is divided into two semesters, fall and spring. Each semester is designed to build upon the previous one, allowing students to progressively advance in their studies. The first semester focuses on foundational concepts and skills, while the second semester reinforces and expands upon these foundations with more advanced topics. At the end of each semester, students are assessed to determine their progress and readiness to move to the next level. This structured approach ensures that students have a clear path for growth and development throughout the year.
We take great care in selecting our teaching staff, ensuring that each individual has a strong reputation and standing with the UICA board and the masjid community as a whole. Our staff members are chosen for their exemplary character, knowledge, and commitment to Islamic values. Once selected, they are provided with the necessary resources and guidance to effectively teach and engage with the children. This support ensures that our educators are well-equipped to deliver high-quality instruction and contribute positively to the students' learning experiences.
At Greenway Academy Sunday School, we believe that learning should be both effective and enjoyable. To make education engaging, we incorporate a variety of fun activities, including hands-on projects, competitions, and challenges. Our students participate in interactive games and special days dedicated to exploring the rich history of Islam.
